Dr Anil Patel BDS, MJDF RCS(Eng)

Dr Anil Patel qualified from Bristol University in 1988. As a final year student he won the prestigious 'Medical Protection award' for a research project which he carried out in Jamaica. He undertook his vocational training with Mr John Darby who at the time was the London Education Dean and moved on to work in different hospital and community posts before finally coming to Bricketwood.

He was awarded the MFGDP diploma in 2005, then the MJDF in 2009 and diplomas in cosmetic dentistry from the Aesthetic academy in 2009..He has undertaken many cosmetic treatments such as botox and dermal fillers since then .He actively attends advanced courses in cosmetic and complex dentistry and travels worldwide.

Dr Anil Patel is an Examiner for the Royal College of surgeons since 2010 taking part in writing of the MJDF exam and examining in different elements of the OSCE and SCRS Dr Patel is a principal of two multi surgery practices in Bricketwood and Hemel Hempstead .He also has worked as a honorary part time lecturer and teacher at Kings College Hospital .where he has been involved in undergraduate teaching and taken part in examining postgraduate students for the past two years. Currently he is working as part time clinical teacher/lecturer at Guys hospital in the conservaton department and is teaching 3rd-4th undergraduates and Msc students.

Dr Patel has taken part in vocational training for the 15 years and been with the Whipps Cross scheme. He has been involved in interviewing and selecting candidates for the London Deanery and is a very experienced trainer. He has also has been a member of the Local Dental committee and has taken a strong part in shaping the local dental community. Dr Patel has been appointed an expert on the panel of Speed Medical Group and regularly prepares reports for insurance purposes.

Bricket wood Practice has been made into a strong Denplan practice and one of its flagship locations. Over the years been he has made it into a referral practice,he has welcomed some of the best clinicians in the profession to join the practice and offer specialist care.

Outside the practice Dr Patel plays competitive badminton which he plays up to 5 times a week and 5 a side football. He enjoys travelling and playing golf.

Oral Surgeon & Implantologist

Dr Parimal Patel BDS, MFGDP, DPDS, MSc

Implant Dentistry - Parimal attained his bachelor of dental surgery from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1984. He became a general dental practitioner and has developed a successful dental practice, Smiledent, in Seven Sisters London N15. Smiledent is a well-known referral centre for Implant and Surgical Dentistry.

Parimal has successfully completed many postgraduate diploma training courses and has been awarded the MFGDP (UK) and DPDS (Bristol) in 1999 and 2002 respectively. Having acquired an interest in Implant Dentistry he embarked on a three year Implant Programme at Warwick University and completed his MSc in Implant Dentistry in 2006. Parimal has also trained at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute and has acquired a certificate in Advanced Implantology.

Parimal is a generalist with an active interest in advance restorative, implant and surgical dentistry. He is an active member of his LDC and is a member of ADI, EOA, BACD, FGDP, DDU and CODE. Parimal has been a vocational trainer since 2000 and is also a part-time senior clinical teacher at Kings College Dental Institute, London and a teaching fellow at Warwick University. He is an approved mentor in Implantology by the Association of Dental Implantologist and Straumann.He has also been appointed Programme Director for the Woolwich DF1 scheme, London deanery from August 2010.

Oral Surgeon & Implantologist

Riaz Qureshi BDS, BSc, MSc (OMOS), FFD RCSI (OMOS), FDS RCS, FICD (USA), Cert. Dent. Implant (Lille2), Diploma Dent. Implant RCS (England)

Dr Qureshi started his career in Oral Surgery in 1985. He did Masters in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery from Bristol University from 1987 to 1989.
Besides gaining experience and an understanding of the basics in both fields, he also did research in the 'Psychological and Psychiatric Sequel of Maxillofacial Trauma'. He has worked at various levels in a number of NHS hospitals, where he gained experience in all fields of Oral Surgery.

In 1995, he joined Manchester University as a clinical lecturer. After working as a Consultant Oral Surgeon at Victoria Hospital, he joined the most prestigious Institute of Medical Sciences in South East Asia, Agha Khan Medical University in Karachi, as an A. Professor in 1999. Here, he was involved in teaching medical students Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery, as well as designing problem-based learning scenarios for the medical course. He developed a team of doctors and co-workers that would reconstruct the jaws after re-section in oral cancer cases.

Amongst his famous cases is the re-implantation of an avulsed mandible. He was appointed as the Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at King Fahad National Guard Hospital in 2001.  He moved back to the UK in 2004 and began working at Consultant level in several NHS hospitals.

His special interest is Dental Implantology & reconstruction of jaws. He recently gained diploma in implantology from Royal College of Surgeons England & a Certificate from University of Lille, France.

Dr Qureshi is an International Speaker and lectures on all aspects of Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology.
